3 Days of Fruit.
I am not sure I am using the term fast correctly but if you have an issue with my grammar or use of the english language you can visit here.
All in all I finally decided I was being a lazy dumbass (add emphasis from that 70′s show) and it was time to kick myself in to action.
With just over 2 months to go before I go to Hawaii there is no turning back. I need to take action now!
So on monday when I started I weighed in at 113.9 kg. Wow.. how did I get so lazy.
But after 3 days I was down to 108.7 KG which is a good feeling to get rid of that bloated, carb filled feeling of unhealthiness.
So I thought I would put down the basics of what I Did and if you need a kick start to get back on a diet or similar. Just plan a 3 day fruit fast. I does not seem like long and it isn’t but it can show you how great it feels to lose weight.
3 Day Fruit Fast Details
Perfect Candidate: Someone who has been off a diet for a while and knows they are eating lots of the wrong thing. Someone who is doing a high protein diet but needs a change(and is not too anal about fruit killing you).
Mental Attitude: To really get the most out of this you have to stick to it 100%. Day one is always easy as you have the most effort. End of Day 3 is also easy as by this stage there is not much time to go.
Where you need to focus is day 2. When you are on day 2 think of it as just getting through that day. Do not think there is another to go. Focus on that individual day and do what it takes to take your mind off food.
Do some overtime, clean the house, wash the car, do something of value in another part of your life that keeps your mind occupied.
This will really help.
Instructions: Here are the rules I followed but you are more than welcome to change them to suit:
1. No Protein, Carbs or Vegetables for 3 Days
2. No Soft Drink of any kind or sugar based fruit juice.
3. Drink heaps of water… I mean heaps. When you are hungry drink water to start.
4. Eat any and as much fruit as you want. Don’t go crazy but enjoy the 3 days. This is a detox as much as a fruit fast.
5. Green Tea & Peppermint tea are both ok on this diet.
6. I also allowed myself to have black coffee which was a stable.
Tips:
1. Go Fruit shopping on the first day and get some colourful fruits
2. If you like cold water have a giant jug of water in the fridge nicely iced.
3. For a treat get a big fruit only smoothy made up for you at a juice bar. They are amazing.
4. Make a big bowl of natural fruit salad and have in the fridge.
5. Remember keep your mind occupied!!!!!!!
