We need an Easy Hunger Suppressants that help!

I know I am sick of TV shows and Dietitians saying that you are Fat because you over eat and do not exercise enough. This has got to be the cop out of the century. How broad is that. It does not look at what you are eating, your body type or how your mind can effect how much you weigh and more importantly the Never ending Hunger. We know if we could find a few Natural Hunger Suppressants it would make life easier..

So what are these Natural Hunger Suppressants to help you give up this Drug called Over Eating?

My answer comes from my own experience with trying to lose weight. I did all the diets and tried this, that and the other. I truly believe in reading a lot of book and picking out which works for you, but I have distilled my experience in to my top 3 Natural Hunger Suppressants. Through the blog I will go in to more detail about the below but I though I would round up a few Principles here to start you off.

Fasting

I tested this out when the Lemon Detox Diet came out. It is 7 Days of drinking a Lemon and Palm Sugar mixture and it helps you detox your body and lose weight. I managed to lose about 7 KGs on it. Which is good. It actually stayed off to which is a nice change. But more than that I learned that fasting is not a horrible thing. After the initial change to my body I stopped getting hungry. After 4 days my body was fine. I suppressed the hunger without a problem.

I now Fast between 8pm at night and mid day the next day. I just do not get hungry before 12. At 12 my belly starts to ring and I know what time it is :-) . It is like if you feed a cat at the same time for a month they always know what time dinner time is.

I never liked eating breakfast anyway. I now let my body detox for 16 hours a day which allows it to clear its self out. In the mornings I drink Water and Peppermint Tea and love it. I will get in to the fallacy of breakfast for you in another article.  But I can tell you for my lifestyle this works really well for me! This is my favourite Hunger Suppressant of them all.

Minerals and Vitamins

This was a huge lack in my life when I was eating huge amounts of Processed foods. As they are depleted in minerals and vitamins. I found this to be the 1 of the top 2 causes of my never ending hunger. As when you are depleted in minerals and vitamins your body is craving them. It them makes you hungry for anything and you turn to foods that do not satisfy the craving for these nutritional elements.

Thus it is a never ending cycle of filling your self with crap(mind my french) until you put on weight. By taking supplements and adding Green Vegetables to your diet and certain mineral and vitamin dense fruits you will start to lower your need for hunger. I usually take 2 multi vitamins, some additional Potassium and Magnesium as well as Omega 3 oils which are essential.  If you can get a test for your mineral and vitamin levels somewhere you should do it so you know which ones you need to supplement heavily.

Fats and Protein

Now I have read many books and one I recently read was ‘The 6 Week Cure for the middle-aged Middle’. But my Dad had it lying around and I thought it may give me some idea’s. It helped me understand how eating certain fats and protein can help you lose weight as well as stop your hunger and improve many other internal elements of the body.

By making sure at least a third of your meal is protein(Real protein not just  precooked sausages) and is cooked in Butter, Lard, Olive oil or similar you can reduce your hunger cravings amazingly while giving your body the building blocks it needs(amino acid). I will have a full post on how this helps you in more ways that just this soon but for the mean time here is an article from Men’s Health about how fat being bad on the heart has never been proven.

This is the biggest hunger buster of them all and it is great if you like meat!

These are just 3 of my Favourite Hunger Suppressants because they do not involve drugs that mess with your metabolism. You need to work with your body and listen to it. When you do that you only have to tackle your mind and get rid of the emotional eating triggers and you will be fine.
