Hey Guys,
Just thought I would lay an easy post down on a Slow Carb Foods List as it is my anniversary with my beautiful girlfriend and I am taking her out.
But before I go I thought that there is one thing people are always interested when they are on a diet. It is a Slow Carb Foods List. A list of what Foods they can eat and what they can not.
Questions like am I allowed Bacon? Mushrooms or Sour Cream? Are all bit Slow Carb Questions.
So What I thought I would start with is a list of foods you are Allowed. Then I would add in some in the Middle foods. To get started though Just wanted to point out some Big No No foods.
Not Allowed on the Slow Carb Diet
- Fruit – Only Exceptions Tomato, Cucumber and Avocado
- White Flour
- Bread
- Chips – Corn or Potato
- Rice
- Potato
- Whole Wheat Products
- Wheat at all
- Sugar
- Any other White Carbs
If it has any of the above in then it is an automatic no no Unless you are doing the Tim Ferris Version which you can have the above on your Slow Carb Binge Day.
Foods you are Allowed on Slow Carb Diet
- Eggs (Mainly Whites with a few Yolks for Choline)
- Chicken breast or thigh (White Meat Proffered)
- Beef (preferably grass fed)
- Fish (Any)
- Pork
- Bacon (Organic)
- Legumes
- Lentils (If dry remember to soak for 12 hours in water and lemon juice)
- Black beans
- Pinto beans
- Kidney beans
- Soy beans
- Other Animals that are not too too fatty.
Vegetables:
- Spinach
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Horseradish
- Collard Greens
- Brussels Sprout
- Cabbage
- Bok Choy
Rocket Lettuce- Dark Green Lettuce
- Sprouts
- Kale
- Sauerkraut & Kimchee (Great for Probiotics)
- Asparagus
- Peas
- Green beans
- Onions
- Peppers
- Mushrooms
Foods on the edge
Ok guys just wanted to add in here Dairy. I have read some books saying that some dairy is fine. But others that dis allow it. When you look at a Paleo Diet Dairy is forbidden for most people apart from Cottage Cheese.
I am not as harsh so Do have some Cheese & Sour Cream in my life. But I don’t drink Milk
